I am proud to announce that Hal Snyder, a major progressive activist in Palatine and a member of their Library Board, has endorsed my campaign. Hal is a member of Brown Bag Progressives, NWSOFA and led the HCAN (Health Care for America Now) campaign in the northwest suburbs.
In giving me his endorsement, Hal states, “Joe Sonnefeldt was an energetic activist in the northwest suburbs for health care reform during 2008-2010. I campaigned beside him at rallies, press conferences, and town halls, working for quality, affordable care for every person in the United States. This was at a time when health insurance companies were denying and canceling coverage for pre-existing conditions and imposing annual and lifetime caps on benefits, all policies which were ended by ACA. I believe Joe will bring the same passion and commitment to representing the interests of families in Illinois State Senate 27th district and enthusiastically support his candidacy.”
From the very start of my campaign, I have focused on earning the trust and support of the progressive leaders and constituents in the 27th District, rather than Springfield insiders. It means a great deal to me that a long-time progressive leader like Hal has come on board and endorsed my campaign because he knows I am the candidate best suited to fight for working women and men in Springfield.
I need your help now more than ever these next eight weeks. Please sign up to volunteer for my campaign today! Together we can turn the 27th blue in November and elect a State Senator that the 27th District deserves!
